New to Merlin Where to start. - PBX Info :: Your Free PBX, PABX and Telephone Information Resource

I have the following Merlin Equipment:

(1) Model 511A Control Unit
(1) 391A3 Power Unit
(1) Magix Proc. (think it is r.4)
(2) 408 GS/LS-MLX
(1) Merlin Legend 2mb Translation Card
(1) AT&T Model KS-23395L3 MOH Coupler

I have this equipment and I am installing it in a new branch location.

I have worked with partner but this is my first Merlin system.

I have the Install manual for the r.3 and I will be using it as a guide.

Anything I should watch out for or any guidence would be much appreciated.

Hey Sean,

The Merlin has a much steeper learning curve than the Partner due to the fact that the Merlin was designed to cover more complex situations than the Partner.

I spent quite a bit of time playing around with a Merlin Magix system to get a feel for how it works. I also found myself posting a lot of specific questions asking for assistance in figuring it out.

I would honestly suggest contacting an Authorized Avaya Business Partner in your area to install the system and train you on how to administer it. It will save you lots of
