Location: Mississippi Rep Power: 6 ![]() | comp.dcom.sys.nortel Has anybody had any issues with "HOLD" on a MLX-10D. I have a Merlin Legend 7.0 and for some reason I have to press "HOLD" twice to place a call on hold. This affects internal and external calls system wide. This just started in the last week or so. According to the manual "HOLD" is just "HOLD" nothing fancy. The only thing I can think of is to power down the system then power it back up. Any ideas?? I’ll re-post next week concerning the results of the power cycle. THX!! | ||||||||

Location: Jonesboro AR Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Meridian Mail Backup Question Wow, Imagine that...something flaky with the Legend...*insert mock suprise here* Out of all the legends we have out there, I have never encountered that particular problem, but I agree with you and tend to think a System Reset is in order. Or default and reload the translations. Just out of curiosity, how many sets are on the system? | ||||||||

Location: Mississippi Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Merlin/Hold Eight sets on that system. I also tried that on another system in our test bed. Same result. I've narrowed it down to the receptionist answering the line and placing it on hold too fast. When the call comes in and she answers it, waits at least three to five seconds it will work fine. So I told her to slow down. Since then there have been no other issues. | ||||||||

Location: Jonesboro AR Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Switch Audit Now that I think about it, I have seen this before...and I remember Tech Support saying something to the effect of LS Disconnect having something to do with it also. Dont know why this didn't hit me earlier...must be gettin old or something. Also, I have seen it where someone would answer a call, put it on hold, and when someone else picks the line up, they cant transfer it/send it to voicemail/or park it. Only the original person who answered the call could control where the call went. That particular problem was on the Magix, so I dont know if it would happen on the magix or not. I knew there was a good reason behind us switching to nortel. | ||||||||
