Partner Plus R3 Backup

Greetings,

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to upgrade an R3 processor board to R6 without having to do the obvious (buy the R6 board)?? I'm thinking some type of a firmware
download, etc. In the absence of that, how about a place to get whatever I need at a reasonable price? This is for my church, and the Merlin was donated.

Thank you,
Jeff Austin

A SOFTWARE UPGRADE PCMCIA CARD USED TO BE AVAILABLE.
I WOLUD THINK RELEASE THREE WOULD DO WHATEVER YOUR CHURCH WOULD NEED. ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A PARTICULAR FEATURE THAT YOU DON'T HAVE?

900 Numbers

The R3 is probably ok. I'm asking because when I bring up SPM8, it states that the "quick access" feature isn't supported on the proc. rev.
We just need very basic features, not rocket science.
Note: I'm used to System 75 & Definity G3i. This SPM programming interface just seems very "clunky".
Thank you

Firmware?

If you haven't upgraded yet, I can help out with the software and card portion of your project.

CLID info

Personally, I never use the quick access features of WinSPM. It's more like SLOW access to me. My SPM is set to go into "standard" SPM after it is connected. Yes, it's a clunky interface, but it's all in what you're used to.

Are there any specific phone system features that you hope to gain by upgrading you processor? Also, to go to some of the higher releases requires "CKE5" processor, basically greater memory to handle the different cards.

2250 transfer

In terms of what I'm hoping for in the proc upgrade? I'm not sure. My actual problem is that this phone system was donated to my church & I volunteered to get it up & running.
It's a very small system consisting of:
Slot 00: R3 proc
Slot 01: 008 MLX
Slot 02: 408 GS/LS
Slot 03: 008OPT
Slot 04: 008VT
They gave us only 1 MLX-10D set & the rest are 7410s.
I'm unable to get the 8 analog stations in slot 02 working, which isn't a big deal because the 8 ports on the 008OPT card seem to work. I also can't get any of the 7410 sets to work in slot 04. The person that donated it claims that it was all working when they got their new system. I have no reason to doubt him & am quite certain that it's my own inability with this particular system that's the real problem. I'm used to Definity G3s & System 75s.
Any pointers you could offer would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you

Remote virtual agents or work at home for big bucks.

7410 SETS ARE NOT SUPPORTED ON ANY LEGEND/MAGIX THE 408GS/LS IS
PROBABLY FOR AT L TELSETS SINCE THERE IS NO MLX20 TEL SET, PROGRAMMING MUST BE DONE USING SPM. DO NOT BE ALARMED BY THE MESSAGE RELATED TO "QUICK ACCESS". IT IS NO GREAT LOSS. JUST ACCEPT THE MESSAGE AND MOVE ON.

Do Any Moderators Post here?

Where in the US are you I am near Philly PA if you need a hand.

Also the 008VT board was used in the Merlin II system.
