If you're building a SL for phantom or virtual uses then go RTFM because it's pretty much the same but simpler for those two as you can skip the controler part. LD 97 Before you get started there are few pieces of information you'll need. Controler Number... I usually use the next avaliable number. The Superloop number and wether it will be in the left or right slot. Start by building the controler. (/s if building a two shelf SL) >ld 97 SCSYS000 MEM AVAIL: (U/P): 7041712 USED U P: 323119 106272 TOT: 7471103 DISK SPACE NEEDED: 151 KBYTES 2MB BACKUP DISKETTE(S) NEEDED: 1 (PROJECTED LD43 - BKO) REQ CHG TYPE XPE XPEC 3 <---------- Controler Number LOC C1M0 <------ Not needed but useful for location of new module. RGTP 16 <-------- Ring Generator type (8 or 16) WRAP UP XPEC 03 (NEW) ..OK Then build the superloop REQ CHG TYPE SUPL SUPL 20 <---------- New superloop number SLOT L <--------- The network card is in the left slot of the SL SUPT <---- SL type STD is default for copper cabled IPE, options are FIBR for fiber remote and CARR for copper (T1) remote carrier. XPE0 3 0 3 <-------- Controler 3 (from above) controls segments 0 - 3 of shelf 0. XPE1 <------ Contoler and segmentation for shelf 1, left blank for single shelf SL. WRAP UP SUPL 020 (NEW) ..OK I'm sure a missed a few things but there are a couple NTPs that cover building new SLs and IPE segmentation. | ||||||||
