| Help please, I am trying to implement remote notification (RN) on call pilot 2.02. I have changed the RPL to allow long distance dialing. I am trying to get remote notification to a pager. I am able to put in a 4 digit internal number in the remote notification number. It will call this number. I am unable to get the remote notification to dial out a long distance number. I turn remote notification ON in my mailbox. When I leave a test message. The RN never dials out. When I log into Call Pilot administration and look at my mailbox, I have the following message. INVALID TARGET NOTIFICATION. and the RN gets turned off. Does anyone have detailed instructions on setting up remote notification? Thanks, Scott | ||||||||

Is the Days Active setup? Is the Remote Notification box checked? I am running this version: CallPilot Manager version 02.01.27.15

| System Check Thanks, I can now dial out. I had to set the NCOS & TGAR values of the call pilot ports to allow calls out. The callPilot ports are phantom DNs I still have additional problems. I do not get any errors, the callPilot will call my pager number, once connected to skytel, I do not believe the right sequence of numbers are being entered to allow a page to be sent. The 4-digit number was just for testing. It was an internal real DN I am trying to call a skytel pager. I have tried the device type as alphanumeric, digital or numeric without success. I have the days active from 5:00 to 23:00 Mon - Fri The Remote Notification box is checked. I have configured my mailbox an executive user. This allows remote notification. I have the PIN termination set to the pound sign (#) I still have not figured out how to get the notification to my pager. I am also running CallPilot Manager version 02.01.27.15 Here is an example of what I would like the remote notification to perform. Step 1: Dial my pager number 1-800-XXX-XXXX Step 2: Pin Number and Pound sign: XXXXXXX # Step 3: Numeric message: 1 # Step 4: Enter Number: 703-XXX-XXXX Step 5: Hang Up Can CallPilot perform all these steps? Is there a better way to get remote notification to my pager? Thanks, Scott in VA | ||||||||

How ever, you will need to put in a "8" or "9" in front of your toll free number to get an outside line off the switch.

| LAPW and Print Only I can call out without any problem. How do I setup the sequence after the callPilot connects to the skytel Pager number? I need to perform steps 1 - 5 in my previous post. The callPilot is calling out to the target number. The pager never gets the appropriate sequence of digits from the callPilot to send the notification to my pager. CallPilot manager will not allow me to enter any # signs (terminations) in the target number or callback number. I am ready to get a nortel engineer on-site to help me set-up the remote notification to pagers. Thanks, Scott | ||||||||
