I have two digital line cards on an IPE shelf 8-0-11 and 8-0-12 which I believe may be going bad. Is there a was to do dianotics on a line card using ld 32? I tested the controller and network card and they both appear to be ok, however, would like to test the two digital cards themselves.

Problems I am experiencing with the digital cards:
Some ports will randomly not pickup digits from the key pad
Some ports will loose there connection to the phone requiring a disu/enlu.

Thanks
Jes

Have you tried to swap the cards with other cards to see if itīs a card problem, that is if you have other Digital cards in use. My first thought when something like this happens is WHAT PATCHES ARE MISSING

Swapping the line cards with known good working ones is a good idea. If that doesn't work I would make sure that the cables betwen the switch and the MDF are properly terminated, (look at the back of the BIX strips to make sure that all of the wires are punched on properly and that the AMP connectors are firmly connected in the switch) a bad BIX punch down will cause lots of intermittent problems. If the BIX blocks on the MDF have had the cross wire replaced many times they sometimes fail to make a good connection as well.

Digital line cards are usually more reliable than the things that they are attached to. IMHO
