Go Bears!

Has anyone experienced getting white noise in random calls? It does not seem to be in one card, it is happening across all TN's. Have a 4 cabinet option 11c, with Beast Davox dialer. This system has 2 cabinet with fiber and another that is IP, connected with 20 port Meridian mail and symposium. I have load 30 running in the DROL, no messages in the morning from that routine. Have clean LCNT in LD 60, ran test on conference loops :casstet:

This is a long shot... had a similar problem a few years back and it turned out to be a loose ground connection to one of the expasion cabinets

time display on turrets

2 things about the ground, I put in a cross connect jumper to test some ground starts trunks, I took that out, and on my 3rd cabinet I got almost a turn out of the lug. Will see what happens. Thanks for the suggestion, will see if it works

Some Idiot Stories

You didn't say what it takes to clear the white noise. Please post back and let us know what clears the noise. There is an existing prob with a certain rel of analog cards.

White noise happening on some calls

Have been talking with our vendor (whom we hava a maintenance contract with) about What I pulled off of my procomm terminal this morning. Anyway I did Fsum in ld 32 and found that we had 3903 sets with different flash versions, so we are setting up a all set download for tonite. I do not think this will solve our problem. I am leaning towards the grounding problem.

Meridian 11C-logging on, need help

I stand corrected it was a static issue, the grounding was bad.

Neat Meridian PBX...

Is this on all phones? Have you checked the spans to Davox? If you have more than one unplug one anf have the agents login see if the noise is gone. Have you tried to isolate it with a TBerd?

Must be the cold..

Unfortunately I do not have DSX panels here. I come from a Long haul fiber ( working DS1 upto oc192 and ATM stuff) background and that is what I am used to. I did borrow a Tberd, but found I had no clean way to check those spans. In swtich all of the t-1' s are clean, no slips, bpv's etc. But then that is only looking at a T-1 in one direction By the way did I ever mention that Davox sucks!!, the dialer we have has almost no diagnostic capability :casstet:
