Location: Columbus, Ohio Rep Power: 6 ![]() | patch for aud014 printing to much Can someone tell me the difference between Symposium Express and Sympopsium? I'm interested in knowing whether Symposium is more stable than Symposium Express when it comes to making changes to ACD phones. Our call center seems to move agents around frequently - resulting in many ACD phone changes - I not comfortable making the changes - we've had the Express database corrupted in the past and someone suggested that the full version of Symposium might be more stable. I'd appreciate any information ayone provides. Thanks

Location: Philadelphia Rep Power: 6 ![]() | acd grup reporting? Full Blown Symposium is much more robust and flexibe. Reports and call scripts are pretty much "canned" in the express. Full SCCS however, allows much more flexibility, but it is more costly. Full SCCS alows fully cusomizable scripting, call treatments, recordings ect. and with crystal reporting, it allows fully customizable reporting through ODBC. I have not heard of the express being" unstable" though. Hope it helps

Location: Columbus, Ohio Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Symposium Express vs Symposium Maybe my terminology wasn't quite on target. By unstable I meant, I've heard that making changes to ACD phones result in database corruption - does this happen? If so, does this only happen to Symposium Express and not full Symposium? Any idea of a ballpark figure for the software?

Location: Philadelphia Rep Power: 6 ![]() | The Good Old Days...... ACD corruption is usually caused by changing acd sets in the PBX without clearing the SPIDs first, disabling sets first, etc. Meridian Max used to have an acd " terminal" that would change sets, and it usually resulted in corruption as well. In SCCS ( either one) you cannot make any changes to any set acquired by SCCS. You MUST deaquire the set first, then disable it ( my suggestion), make your changes, it will automatically re-enable, then re-aquire the set in SCCS. As afr as cost, SCCS is licensed on a per set basis and per package basis, depends if you are using sccs 100, 200, 350 etc. and it is then licensed on a set by set basis. Price could be 20K and up. Hope it helps

Location: New York New York Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Does adding a new ROUTE causes INI?? Just as an insight. Wether you are running SCCS or SECC if you do not deacquire the sets before changing them it WILL cause corruption. i know this becuase i tried it. Of course i had to go into debug and fix it but yes it does corrupt. Like MrMike was saying. SCCS can do alot more than SECC. The new version comes of SCCS (4.2) comes with a thin client interface for most changes, reports and real time displays.. __________________ Excuse me Sir.
