has anyone ever had coss talk show up on their phones??? some people have called me this morning saying thay can hear other folks conversations both internal and inbouind calls?? it's an 11C checked the history log and no weird things in there.... so any ideas

Check Tip/Ring on lines.... if it were outbound only I would contact your CO. We had chipmunks chew ours and some of the wires shorted together.

Bob, I have had this reported to me on an OP 11, but have never been able to verify/recreate it. This site is running a PRI and approx 170 analog and 80 digital.

These are a pain to troubleshoot, but you'll have to determine if it's in the switch or at the CO or on the CO lines...

Keep testing and the next time you encounter crosstalk - trace the call (or activate enhanced trace before hand)..

Do you have Mail? If so, also dial your VM DN and see if you encounter crosstalk with any other mail members or mailboxes (if you do then it's most likely not the CO's).

Was any of this crosstalk involving conference calls or ACD calls waiting on MOH? We had some crosstalk issues on our 11c in certain instances involving both call transfer, ACD and conference calls that required some patches dealing with the conference loops. We have no analog trunking, all PRI and ITG trunking. The problem appeared after upgrading to 25.40B and adding an ITG trunk card.

Bob, what rel is your switch at, and are you using any ACD. The last post by telecom 116 jarred some of my brain cells. The site I mentioned before is using ACD, and after we upgraded to Succ 3.0 and Nortel checked all of our patches, it (SO FAR) hasn't reappeared.

I know that after the patches were installed, during an INI the system TTY will show a process of disabling (or enabling) the CONF loops, something I had never seen before the patches.

Like I said, the problem would occur sporatically, only in a certain set of circumstances involving a call transfer to an ACD queue, and a multi-party conference call in progress. Usually, some of the conference call would hear both sides of the ACD/transfer conversation, but these parties couldn't hear the conferees. The longest part of solving this was to eliminate the ITG trunking as the problem.

thanks for the responses guys, was on phone with HICAP last night while they tested (was at home logged into the switch) they ran test for an hour and reported no problems (dam the bad luck) i will be checking all the line with TVA this morning to see. is it possible for cross talk in time slots???
