Location: NORTEL - NJ Rep Power: 6 ![]() | On August 2, 2004, the “Customer Support” portal becomes the “Technical Support” portal, and a new look and feel is launched! We are pleased to announce that there are several changes being implemented on August 2nd that will improve your online technical support experience. The Customer Support portal will be renamed the Technical Support portal and you will be able to access this new portal via: http://www.nortelnetworks.com/support In addition to a new name, the Technical Support portal will also be completely revamped to provide you with advanced online support functionality that includes: • Product Finder- a quick 1-2-3 step process to find all the content you need in three easy clicks - your one stop resource to locate software, documentation, bulletins and tools for Nortel Networks products. • Creation of a “My Support” section- many of you have requested the flexibility to tailor your view of our support site to only those products that you manage. With this new “My Support” section, you will find: o My Products- Create a listing of your favorite products from Nortel Networks product portfolio; this is similar to the “My Products” capability that you have today, but in this release, these products can be viewed front and center within your own personalized support page. o My Bookmarks- Within each product that you select, you will have the ability to bookmark key content that is important to your day to day operations. This bookmark capability will be extended to software, documentation, and bulletins so that you can quickly access content that is most important to you. o My eMail Alerts- formerly My Notifications. We’re not changing anything within this technology, just giving it a new name, and placing it within your “My Support” section for quick access to all your personalized functionality. This feature allows you to automatically sign up for email updates on the products that are most important to you. o What’s New- for your profile of products within My Support, this functionality allows you to quickly see new content – since you last logged in and in the last 2 months. This will ensure that you never miss a new content posting! • New tabs for each product- Overview and Bulletins! o Overview Tab- Many of you have expressed the need to create a personalized view of content that is pertinent to your day to day operations. By leveraging the “My Support” capability above and “My Bookmarks” you will now be presented with an Overview tab that provides your bookmarked content for a specific product, as well as quick links to see all new content – since you last logged in and in the last two months! o Bulletins Tab- all of our bulletins will now be placed within a Bulletins Tab (previously, bulletins and documentation were all provided together under a Documentation tab). This separation will allow you to quickly find bulletins that are important to you. In addition to these enhancements, you will also find a new look and feel to the portal, which provides an improved layout, making your navigation and usage easier than ever before. You will be provided with an opportunity to provide us with your feedback and we’re anxious to hear what you think!
