setting up acd reporting?

:casstet:

I recently configured my 2616 Nortel Sets with TDD in the class of service to enable the ANI to display on the set without the user needing a "display" button.

I have noticed something odd and wondered if anyone has come across this and may how to change it? If the phone user is on thier primary line (actively on the phone) and a secondary call comes in...the display shows the number (truncated) that is calling, but only the last 5 digits of the number then the extension it is being transfered from (the primary line) and then "hunt" indicating it came from that line. So it looks like this....

6-1234 4444 "HUNT"

all well and good, here's the weird thing, if the phone user is on hold on a call....the display shown then when a second call comes in is full....

123-456-7890 4444 "hunt"

Any one have any clues what or why this might be happening? It wouldn't be an issue if it was reversed, but more often the caller would be on the phone when that second call comes in. Any thoughts on if this could be changed would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks All,

-Michael

M,

Look at your settings in LD 95 re MXLN, default is 17 characters max. is 27.

20 Worst Things To Hear At A Nuclear Power Plant

Thanks for the Suggestions. I verified that DNDD was in CLS, but I could not figure out how to display or change the MXLN from LD 95.

It would appear that after watching it more closely, that it is the active call timer that is taking up "space" on the display line which is preventing the entire number to be displayed.

Is it possible to remove the word "hunt" or the display of the extension number that it is hunting from?

Thanks again all,

-Michael

Is this ? hard

MM,

GOTO LD 95 & enter

REQ prt
TYPE cpnd
CUST 0

& you'll get
TYPE CPND
CUST 0
CNFG ALON
MXLN 27
STAL YES
DFLN 27
DES NO
RESN YES
CFWD CFWD
CFNA CFNA
HUNT HUNT
PKUP PKUP
XFER XFER
AAA A

NITC NI

Also I remeber that the older 2616's had issues with the amount of characters displayed , but I don't believe that is your problem. Also be careful if you change things hear some types of v/m integration use the info. in the display to play the appropriate greeting.

Good luck.

Jack
