I am trying to program a M3904 phone. It has 1 key based add on module. When I try to program any of the buttons on the add on module I receive the following error:

(SCH0361) Key number out of range 0-9 per key/lamp strip, 0-10 for M2012 and M3000, 0-8 for M2009, 0-17 for M2018, 0-5 for M2006.

This happens for anything I try to assign to a button.

Any ideas what this means?
Thanks!

On the phone setup do you have AOM 1? This is the add on module.

Where is AOM 1? In OTM on the main phone screen there is something called "key based module." That was set to 0. I changed it to 1 and ran the job and that went successully. Then i click on "add on 1" buttion and thats where the add on module is displayed. This is where i try to program the module. Is there another setting?

Down in the lower right side of the 3904 screen you will have a Key based module blank put the number of Mod's there and then fill in the keys. If you are adding a Module to an existing phone I would do a "change as replace" instead of just a change

Dan I am running OTM 2.1 and I just tested it and it works fine, however there were some issues and fixes for KBA on 3900's for 2.0, cant recall the patches right now however will look into it. Are you running 2.0 or 2.1x?

I know this defeates the purpose of OTM ,but... Programm the phone through overlay passthrough then retrieve it in OTM. If you get the same error message print the phone and let us have a look at it.

you might also want to try to simply make the change to Add on Module (chage it to one) then transmit, then make another change to each othe keys on the AOM.

There is mention of your problem as a know problem in the GRB for 2.01, may want to contact Nortel for the Patch
