A Succession 3.0 system cannot perform a successful backup. When you input 'EDD' the output reads "EDD112" which says "Security Check Failed". Also, you get "BUG6304" which says "Security Check Failed...The interface is already busy. This is caused by incorrect software operation". Has anyone ever seen this?

I saw something very much like this but, not Succession. It was an IODU/C that the dongle was left off of. Do you still use security dongles in Succession? Could it be loose, dirty, or missing?

You should be able to stat for the security ID on both cores to see if it is being read. I hope that it turns out to be something as simple as a loose clip.

Post back what you find.

The Succession 3.0 system uses an SSC card for it's processor like an Opt.11. You are limited to Opt. 11 commands in LD 135. I did not see a command for this.

I was actually thinking of LD 137 and using SDID. This should give you id of the security dongle for your switch. This may or may not work if you are limited to the Opt 11 commands.
