Morning all,

I am creating a project here to build a GUI interface for the Meridian. Chas this is the project I talked to you about. I am in Phase 1 right now, which is research. I want to know what you folks out there would like to see in a GUI for a Meridian. Keep in mind that this will not replace the MAT and will not be for very advanced tasks such as building trunks and card installs (well yet) but the features of the app I want to add will have reporting capabilities, basic user administration, and such. I need suggestions on what you would like to see. Let me know. If you have a preference of platform below let me know. The majority wins here

Platform availability

Application running off of IIS with a SQL backend on a Windows 2000 server

Application running off of Apach with a MySQL backend on a Linux server (Linux distro not decided upon yet)

We use OTM. This is a GUI interface.

Are you thinking of just the switch side? Making the TTY a GUI? That whould be cool.

Set Administration would be a cool thing. This would allow my student workers or others when I am not around to change simple things like a digital phone key without knowing how to do the TTY stuff.

correct, it would be a tty integration. I don't see the point of buying OTM when the high level stuff I do frlom CLI and if I can script out the mundane stuff. If you have programming experience send me an email to the address you see up there as well, looking for folks to do this.

Monday - I'll send you a copy of PBXInsight. Not an exact match of what you're doing, but it will give you some 'insight' on how I handled data using VBA..
