Hi. I just moved our Meridian system from one office to another, and the lines work, but caller ID does not. I called the phone provider, and they said it was working on the account. If I press FEATURE 811 the system has access to the called ID info, but doesn't show it by default. How can I fix this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sky - Welcome to the board.

Is this a Meridian or a NorStar?

Guys, Norstar originally printed "Meridian Norstar" on all there phones and cabinets. The real term between the different systems is whether it is Meridian 1 or Meridian Norstar. Nortel has been trying to strip the 'Meridian' name out of their new Norstar stuff to avoid this confusion. The rule of thumbs is that if it has a FEATURE key it is Norstar.
Sky. Check the CLID set configuration under Lines in system programming. This should point to the phone you wish the CLID to show up automatically on. Normally the default is set 221.

Post back for more help.

It says "Meridian" on the top of the box in a cyan box, and "Northern Telecom" at the bottom of the box in gray box. Where would I find the model number?

If it is an MICS or an llxss system it will be in the inside of the cabinet. If it is an CICS it will be printed on the front of the unti.
Take a look at this site and tell us which it looks like:

3x8 is not caller id compatible, Sorry.
You may want to think about upgrading to a CICS or MICS. 2k911.com has some great prices on new and refurb. Maker sure if you get a new KSU that it has CI (Caller Identification) Trunks and not standard trunks.

Well there is a CII Box attached to the 3x8. And the caller ID WAS working in the other office, before I moved all of the equipment.
