Location: Arizona Rep Power: 7 ![]() | I've got an Opt 61C, rls 21.54 For some months now, I've been sporadically seeing CRI alarms on one of my Carrier Remote superloops similar to below. They do not occur with any regularity... TIM091 17:00 29/6/2004 CPU 0 DTC001 DTC001 AUD000 DTC001 CRI3302 SUPC 20 EXTERNAL ALARM 2 CLEARED CRI3312 SUPC 20 EXTERNAL ALARM 2 SET AUD000 DTC001 TIM091 18:00 29/6/2004 CPU 0 According to the NTPs... CRIabcd a=1 for local, 2 for remote, 3 for external b=carrier 0, 1, or 2 c=alarm level 1, 2 or 3 d=0 for bit errors, 1 for frame slips, 2 for loss of signal, 3 for blue alarm, 4 for out of frame, 5 for within threshold, and 6 for MMI enabled That being the case, I interpret the CRI3312 alarm to mean there was an external, level 1 alarm on carrier 3 due to a loss of signal. However, the Carrier Remote has no carrier 3 plus I only have a T-1 on carrier 0 with the other 2 disabled. Also, it does not make any sense that the "alarm 2 cleared" message appears prior to the "alarm 2 set" message. Could this all be an indication that my network card or controller card, for superloop 20, is about ready to fail?

Been having the same issue here (see back post) but changed the carrier card to a higher vintage and all seems ok (Knock on wood) It has been about a month now
