I want to use a time of day control to ring specific extensions based on tod, ie business hours rings ext 3000, after hours rings 3001, holiday hours ring 3002 (without hearing any menu choices).

Is this possible?

Thanks
Any info is appreciated.

Yes, it should be possible...will people dialing a DID on your PBX or will this be your main number?

It is the main number. The boss wants to get rid of the voice menu system during Reg Bus. hours and have all calls forwarded to the receptionist. (Some craziness about personal touch or something, *shrug* Anyway basically I want to change the current time of day control from reciting the voice menu to forwarding to the Receptionist, quickly and automatically.

How do I do this?

Thanks
Any info the appreciated.

home wiring - Star or not start

Good New is yes, that is definately possible...

Bad news is, off the top of my head, I totally forgot how to set it up...but what I do remember it is easy.. I am actually setting up my company with call pilot to do exactly what you are asking...have to have our helpdesk ring first but I don't remember how to associate the Voice Service ID to a DN in Call Pilot.

Hopefully someone knows and could post a little sooner, Once I remember I will post back here for you.

Problems dialing out on new route

I would have prefered a flatout "no, you can't do it" as an answer Is it possible to set up a Voice Service ID to a DN *without* using call pilot in Meridian Mail? If so, how?

As always, Any info is greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Calls myteriously going to overhead system.

Based on your example...3000 is during the day, 3001 is night and 3002=holiday. Do these phones have people at them all the time? ie does 3001 have somebody there during the day too? An easy way around this would be to have the person at 3000 fwd their phone everynight to 3001. Or put an appearance of 3000 on 3001, 3002. What vx mail are you using?

It's a Meridian Mail (*read no call pilot*) system on Option 11c. During regular business hours, I want incoming calls directed automatically to the receptionist (no menus or welcome messages)
During after hours, and holiday's I want the automated menu system, like (Welcome to blah blah.... please press 1 to blah blah) I wanted to know if its possible to setup a service id to automatically direct a call to a DN without asking anything or waiting for a prompt. All I can find is service id's for voice menus and service ids for thru-dial. (which to me, seems a bit limited)

Can this be done? And if yes, how?

Thanks!
Any info is greatly appreciated!

tranfer directly to vmail

How about doing something with CRTOD (Call Redirection by Time of Day) & CRDAY (Call Redirection by Day)? Set up a DID that the external callers would dial, have the ring cycles set to 1 ring, after one ring the call would forward to the receptionist position during business hours, after hours & holidays have the FDN go to voice mail, you can then have your menu prompting you require. You can find information about thse features in the Software Features Guide.

CRTOD is available from Rel 22, CRDAY from Rel 24.

Thank you, That looks like exactly what I need... Looks like I left the scope of this Forum, but I found the alternate time and alternate days settings in LD15 but where do I specify which DID (or DN) this applies to? Where do I configure the alternate DN's to use?

Unfortunately I don't have access to a Software Features Guide.

Thanks
Any help is appreciated!
