We have a PC conencted to a Taurus M3904 phone on an option 11 switch.

It is connected with a CTI adapter, ACM and transformer with RS232 to the com2 of the PC.

The PC is running MS Windows XP operating system and has TAPI Service Provider for CTIA, dirver version 2.1.0.7 in the telephony tab of the control panel.

It keeps losing the driver settings, (or would they be called the "line settings")
We have tried other operating systems and the set up has works perfectly.

Any ideas?

BFS key on 39xx

Contact Nortel for an up to date driver for XP. Chances are it is in the works or accessable through ETAS

Extending a module using single mode fiber

Thanks for that Mike, unfortunately it seems slow for a driver update from nortel ( as far as I can find out) - we bought through a reseller and I am currently awaiting more info back from them.

Has anyone used TAPI on an XP machine successfully?

TIE ???

Does this help

TAPI 2.2 and Symposium Agent 2.0.0.26 are NOT compatible with Windows 2000.
However, TAPI 2.3 and Symposium Agent 2.3 are compatible with Windows 2000

losing TAPI settings in Windows XP on option 11

Here is some more

As stated in Symposium Agent 2.3 Installation Guide, page 12 of Feb 2001 issue, Symposium Agent software is supported on:
- Windows 95
- Windows 98
- Windows NT 4.0 Workstation
- Windows 2000 Professional

Windows Millennium Edition and Windows XP have not been tested and are therefore not supported at this time

that's annoying then
bizarrely running the TAPI service provider on an Millenium Edition machine works fine with seemingly no glitches
