Ok...simple question, but first I've had to deal with it....
How do I register an i2004 that (due to OTM server getting hit with a virus and repeatedly rebooting) became "unregistered" (and thus not working)
?

Yeah, thanks...not quite that simple....

It would appear the ITG card (appearing live and happy to the PBX) isn't talking to the OTM server (which shows ITG "not responding"). Have checked all the conections, and the the network (infact OTM is currning our CDR wonderfully still)

All the IP phone (all 3 of them) show up as "unregistered"...I've never had the chance to sit down an play, so I'm unsure what this means or how to fix it.
Suggestions?

Doing a Flash for VoIP--

I haven't gotten into the IP phons yet, but do they all require power? Isn't that a step backwards? I recall installing M8314's and they were a pain because you needed power..

Is the power a local supply or on the Cat 5 cable pairs and feed from a central location (IDF)?

Thanks,
CHas2002

RE:

Once your IP Line card is configured, it shouldn't matter whether or not OTM is running as far as your i2004 sets are concerned. The i2004 phones communicate with the IP Line software either running on the SMC (in a Meridian 1) or on the signalling server (in a Succession 1000M).

Try resetting the Line Card and see what does.

Chas you can use either a local powersupply for the phone or if you have Power over Lan hubs and switches you can get a power splitter and use the power from the network cable

That makes some sense....Can you elaborate on what I should be looking for to reset? (Merdian on an 81 c)
Sorry for a "newbie" here, folks, but my last interaction with ITG cards was way back when they were first introduced. (4years or more ago).

Ther should be a recessed button that can be pushed in with an ink(don't use a pencil) and give it a coupl of minutes and should com back on line. Also go into Optivity and do a refresh on the card state.
