Location: Montreal, Canada Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Hi everyone, I got this strange situation. My customer was using regular analog loop start trunks for incoming and outgoing. He had all kinds of problems with that setup. He finally got a PRI installed. Everything is going fine except for one thing. He had a hotline programmed on a 500 set, in the elevator, that was calling the help desk in case of an emergency. The # is an outside number. So the hotline was programmed with 9XXXXXXX. Now that the system is converted to PRI, whenever someone picks up the phone, tey get a re-order tone. I made a change on the set. I removed the hot feature, and dialed the number. No problem. I reprogrammed the set with the same TGAR and NCOS that worked by dialing, and I still get the reorder tone. Access code 9 , is going trough BARS or NARS. It is a direct access code to the outgoing service route. Any idea would be appreciated. Miro

Try this: Hot D it to an internal number and give it a try... If that works, then - Remove the Hot D and go across with your butt set and dial 9+# If that works, then - Reprogram the Hot D and place a pause in the command line. I'm at home, but I think a , (comma) or # (pound) will provide a pause. Post back.. Chas2002

Location: Montreal, Canada Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Please take the poll Hi Chas, I've tried already to program it to an internal #. It works fine. Then using the same TN, with the same TGAR and NCOS, I was able to reach the external #. I've tried to insert a pause in the HOT D, but the system won't let me. I've tried a comma, and a space. I will try to set the HOT to an acd queue wich will have a NCFW to the external #, and see what happens. Thanks Miro

I have seen bearer capability issues cause similar problems. 500 ports with a CLS of FAXA (Fax Allowed ISDN sets generate 3.1Khz bearer cap) fail to dial when they hit a PRI that doesn't have a high enough bearer capability. It's way outside of the box but it has happened.

Location: Montreal, Canada Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I did a trace on the call, before I created the dummy ACD queue. The system was dialing the right #, but didn't seize any trunk or channel. The call was timing out and from there I was getting reorder tone. Miro
