Remote Office ISDN service

I've got some user who has inadvertently put in someone's home phone number in a fax machine. And the fax keeps calling this guys house. We've tried cancelling the fax but an hour later, someone puts the number back in. So is there a way to block that house number from being dialed?

Emergency! I need to block an outgoing number!

Can you open the fax manual and look for a way to take a number out from being called? If this goes through a fax server that goes through your switch can you block the local number from being dialed?

May need a bit more info from you on this one.

Thanks Tim. I couldn't remember how you denied a number in the PBX.
It works great.

Correct me if I am wrong, but you will not be able to dial any number with that NXX. This might bite you in the *** 6 months from now when you get busy signals when dialing customers in this NXX.

I would tackle this at the fax level. Check the programmed keys in the fax, or post a note asking people not to dial the particular number or to contact you before doing so.

Interesting... I've had to block specific numbers within an NXX in the past and I've never had that problem... then again I really didn't test it thoroughly.

Oh well back to the lab.

Slag, shoot the stupid as an example...

the work around to block the single number would be to enter the entire number, not just the 3 digit prefix.
