| Here's some Documentation that might help Hey all, I'm having trouble programming Hunt Groups on our Nortel phone system. I've got the System Installer's Documentation, and it says to set up Hunt Groups I should be able to find these configuration settings under "System Programming"(after doing **266344). However the problem is that when I go to System Programming, I do not see this menu selection at all. Do I need to do something in order for this configuration setting to show up? BTW, please excuse my "newbie-ness" as I am pretty new to working with Nortel systems. Plus apparently I found out that our Nortel system that I'm working on here at my workplace was picked up at an auction without much documentation. So I really don't know too many specifics about our system. If any additional info, please let me know and I will post it. Again please excuse my newbie-ness with this system, as I was practically thrown at this system with no documentation to read whatsoever. Thanks In Advance for any help that can be given! | ||||||||

Location: South Africa Rep Power: 5 ![]() | Calling number trough MMail Menu Hi Brion: for group hunting you need a list of the extensions to be used, a pilot DN, and each extension must hunt to that pilot DN. The lists are created in LD 18, the pilot DN and group hunt in LD 57. I'm sure that your Nortel representative can provide you with a user guide for your specific system and software. You can print all exisiting lists in LD 20 REQ PRT TYPE GHT LSNO (leave blank) The system will return all configured group hunt lists, including the associated pilot DN (PLDN), and list members (ie extensions) (STOR 0 nnnn, where nnnn represetns the extension or DN number. When you configure the PLDN, you must specify GPHT, the list number to be used, and if you want linear or round robin hunting. Each extension must have CLS = HTA, and HUNT nnnn (nnnn = PLDN) | ||||||||

| Is this a M1 or a N* system? If you are speaking N*, Do you have a System Coord guide? You may be missing a step or two. just in case: Feature -- (which you noted correctly) Password --(you did not mention if you got this far) Display should read Terminals&Sets -- (you also did not mention this) Press NEXT until display shows System Prgrming Press Show. You should see Hunt groups Press Show. You should see Show group enter the group number you want to program (1-30) Press Show (the display will show the member DNs (if any have been programmed)) Press Add to or Remove as desired. | ||||||||
