I have a someone that needs to get training. I know that Nortel does all it's training through Global Knowledge. I went to the site and nothing makes sense anymore....

Talk about "Animal Lover"

I knew nothing about pbx's when i started. I took Familiarization, then Database, the Install and Maintenance.

I think this order of classes is good for someone who knows nothing because each class added to the previous one. It helped me anyway.

Pretty much shoot for classroom training if the budget will allow for it. The computer based stuff in my opinion still needs a little tweeting to be effective. This coming from someone who can't learn anything while sitting behind a PC.

I agree with Chas, all good classes.
Look at going to Richardson for training. Yes, they all have good instructors. But Richardson also has Bonedaddy's.

From a personal opinion, I always suggest saving the Install & Maintenance classes until you have a solid understanding of the switch. It is a great class, but covers quite a bit of information. You will get so much more out of it if you can walk your way around the switch first.
