URGENT! Need assistance with Northern Telecom Meridian Serie - PBX Info :: Your Free PBX, PABX and Telephone Information Resource

I am currently working on the Northern Telecom pbx system Model
description m12x0. I would appreciate any assistance regarding the
setup and configuration for this unit. The information that i am
looking for is how to connect to this particular unit whether its a
serial or dialup connection. I also would like to know basic commands
that will allow me to login and operate the unit. One of the key
commands that i am looking for has to do setup of the voicemail. I am
also in great need of the manual if anyone has any info on where i can
get it. But any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank You
very much!

are you sure this isn't a NORSTAR? We have another Forum for those systems.

if it is a norstar the 12x0 is the trunk mod the voice mail access would be feature 983 passwoord is (erased by moderator)

The pbx is i think from 1995 so it says Northen Telecom on it and the phones are all Meridian. Thats why i think its Meridian system. It would be really helpfull if anyone can let us know how to connect to it to get at least to the prompt. Thanks A lot!!!!!

meridian is on both pbx and norstar the way to tell for you is do you have a key on your phones that says feature then its a norstar and you do programming from a set its preety simple

both Norstar and Option phone will say Meridian on the set. If the module (PBX) is hanging on the wall and there are several of them ranging in size from fat to skinny then it is a NORSTAR, if the module hanging on the wall is a single or double cabinet with cards install in it (should be 15-16 slots for cards) then it is a MERIDIAN OPT 11, If it is a standalone cabinet (in the middle of the floor) then it is a MERIDIAN OPT 21-81. If you can tell us which of the three it is we will be able to assist you a little better.

On the bottom of the phone look for the model number, if it say's M7208, M7310, M7324 than its a Meridian Norstar Key system. then you need to use the Norstar forum on this website for help.

The Norstar 12x0 is just a trunk module....what size is the KSU?

Thanks a lot of the replies. Well the PBX looks like a small hanging on the wall cabinet with 3 doors, in which too of them have 3 cards in them and i think one slot free and another one has a thing with a disk drive and i think it says application module on top. Maybe that will help.. Thanks again!!
