I'm having a bit of problems with my message lights lately. About 2 or 3 times a week someone complains that the light won't go off when all the messages have been heard (or visa versa). I have an Option 81C connected to an Octel 250. But the problem lies in the DMID unit. I have 2 DMID units and the second one doesn't reconize the mik/mck set (connected to port C). When I plug a 2008 it works perfect. Does anyone have an idea? Thanks!

Rls 23.19 (going to succession 3.0 late may or early june)

DMID --> Da Most Idiotic Device

DMID --> is a Digital Meridian Integration Device. It is used as a middle man between a Nortel PBX and an OCTEL Voice messaging system.

CSL/ESDI Card

So the DMID is the Octel card/port?

Are all phones having problems or just some?

Have you replaced the card in the 250?

Had a recent problem with Octel -- German for Overtime (Fletch's comment) -- and 9316 sets using class modem cards which required a couple of patches.

yep that is what it is

just some of the phones are having this problem, and it seems as if it only happens on peak hours of the day. it is almost like the system goes over the one DMID and when it hits the second it doesn't work.
