Due to PRI227 codes, I need to change the BCOT prompt on the route associated with D-channel. PRoblem is when I try to change the route, I am not given the option to change the BCOT prompt, even when I enter yes for ISDN etc...
Do I have to build a new route for this to work? Currently the BCOT prompt is set to 0, so when the route is pegged up with traffic, (almost all day) the pri227's appear, and very frequently. Thanks for the help
Brian

Should be simple - yea or nah

I can not give you any answers on this one because I have been having PRI 227s for over a year now on a pri's going to a cisco call managers. I have had both Cisco and Nortel together on a conf call and still did not get a solution, It happens on my switch when a Cisco phone calls a Nortel phone and recieves buzy tone. I will be tracking this thread and hope you get more answers than I.

I have a very bad feeling that I will have to build a new route, than move all 10 loops associated with that woute to the new one. Sounds too much like work too me, hehe.

Ring Type???

Well, here is what I have found out so far. I cannot change the BCOT # (last prompt under the ISDN portion of a route), either on the route, or creating a new one altogether. I checked my pkgs, to make sure I have the ISDN pacakage, which I do. THe BCOT prompt by default is set to 0. If you have a trunk group, in my case the hospitals outgoing route, that gets hammered by calls, you probably will get the PRI227. The BCOT needs to be changed to allow a higher threshold to prevent the PRI code yadayada..
When the PRI codes came back this morning, I enabled DCH messaging to see what the DCH is doing. Since it my main outgoing route, it printed out about 20 pages + before I could disabled the reporting, what a pain. I will go through the messaging, to see if there is something else that will point me in a good direction. I will post later with what else I find, if anything. I may have to get Nortel involved so that should make my afternoon fun, hehe.
