We have an attendant console on our 61c, however, the call volume is so low that its not staffed all day long. I've been tasked with finding out the feasability of putting an external ringer out in the hallway so the people in adjacent offices can hear it ring.
I'm sure this can be done, however, they've asked me a couple questions I couldn't answer.
The bells would be used only during the day, since the office is closed at night, but they want to know if the bells can be turned off and on during the day, depending on meetings and what not.
The other question is about some sort of volume control, is that feature available?
I've never hooked something like this up before, so I have no idea. Can somebody help me out?

What I would suggest is to night call forward the console to a 500 ext and hook it to a ringer of your choice. there are may out there. then the bell will only ring when the console is in nights. Then I would use some sort of pick up feature to pull the call off the bell to the person answering it.
