Help! I am trying to set up a menu on Mermail for my Human Resource dept. The main extension is 6200, and then from there I offer the options to hear job postings (plase press 1), verify employment (please press2 ), or speak to a rep (please press 3). option 3 has a submemu that offers 2 reps by name and you can select 1 of them. I think I have the menu definitions set up correctly and the announcements recorded, but cant get Mermail to answer 6200 and play the first announcement When I dial 6200, it rings and rings. Is there some way that I am supposed to build this extension as a mesage center? Or is there some forwarding that I havent done? Like to the message center? Help!

POST YOUR ACD 6200 FROM LD 23 ALSO CHECK YOUR DN TABLE IN MAIL MAKE SURE 6200 IS SET FOR MENU SERVICE

Thanks PP! so 6200 should be defined as an ACD dn? I wondered if it could be something like that. Any special parameteers to set when defining it as ACD- DN? THANKS AGAIN!

This will create your "dummy" queue. There will be other prompts while you are in ld 23, which camn be ignored. Just carriage return through them.

I'm not sure this needs to be an ACD queue. What about a phantom DN?

Have 6200 be the phantom DN, all calls goto VM 6200 which is setup as a message center.

Is 6200 and actual extension? If not, what is your main MerMail extension. Build a voice services dn of 6200 in MerMail, and a phantom tn with a dn of 6200 and ftr/dcfw 4 xxxx to the voicemail dn. The MerMail will ans with the vsdn specified (6200).
