81C, everytime the CPUs switch from 0 to 1 the column with CPU 0 goes into alarm, throws a PTFU (which we don't have) code and kills the ring generators in all the other columns. We've tried different system monitor cards, checked all of the ribbon cables / back planes for bent pins. It's interesting to note that the alarm will clear when switching from 1 to 0.

Are the fans supposed to run up when the sys mon cards are pulled? I'm my other systems do. We found this system without the sys mon cards installed so it has probably been this way since it was moved into the new building, of course the folks who moved it are long gone.

Any ideas?

system used to be a 61C now an 81c if that helps. i havent had a lot of time to mess with it over the last few weeks
