Folks

I am looking for a basic manual for the Meridian Pbx, basically how to add, remove or change extensions ...... basic administration of that system.

I have experience with Avaya products but not with Nortel and I am in charge of administer 1 site with a Nortel/Meridian switch.

Any help will be appreciated.

Regards.

Check Here

Frist clicky under M1 Base. ( Software Features and Input/Output Guide NTPs) then download the X11 Admin manual.

The LD10 intro will show you what you need for analog sets.

The LD11 intro will show you what you need for digital sets.

LD20 is a 'linked' overlay containing 10 11 and 32.

Check out the FAQecdtion and the PBXINSIGHT section, great resourses to start with.

After you've reviewd those I suggest looking thru the postings and then after that post back with your specific questions.

Welcome to the board!!

Re: otm upg

If you have the MERL CDrom look for the "Task Basic Telecom Management Book" under "Meridian 1 Standalone NTPs"

While GH's site (and others that cross-post Nortel documentation) are very helpful, only the official Nortel site at Nortel: Technical Support: Home will give you the most current versions of all documents. Trying to administer a CS 1000 5.5 system with a Meridian 1 25.40B document is not a path to success.

Contrary to misconception, the NTPs on Nortel: Technical Support: Home are available to both end-users and channel partners. Registration is required to access the documentation.

i'll second that. i've got the admin books 1 and 2 and the three featuers books, and then there are two system messages books also. all on PDF format. I use them almost daily, and they came right from the nortel site.

P.s. if you're tired they are a good sleep aid too
