This might not be much of a telecom question. However, I need some advice. I have a Xerox F-12 Fax machine running most of our Order Processing. It’s just not getting the job done. After countless problems and having Xerox out here countless times including replacing the machine once, we have concluded that particular machine cant handle the load of faxes coming in. I was curious if anyone knew of a high-end business solution fax. Any recommendations would be great.

Thanks,
Splinters

ACD IFDN problem??? PLEASE Let there be a Gracious Guru....

Depending on your need, there are several webbased fax programs available.....
These work well in my "paperless" office enviornment as they are sent to an Email account rather than a paper fax...>Very useful when a majority o the order info comming in comes via fax.

What is a CCR TREE????? How many can you have???

Have you ever looked inside a fax machine,I swear they are held together by rubber bands and little springs.I tried to fix one once and when I got through with it .It wouldn't work at all.Never again.
If you get a lot of faxes ......What I did was put in another fax line and have the 1st fax machine hunt to the other.
I think Ricoh makes a better than average fax machine.

The only this fax machine does is recieve faxes all day long.
It's in a pharmacy, there is wierd red sticky powder all over the fusier.
Xerox techs have replaced the whole machine once and replaced the fusier once.
Their still stumped on what the problem is but that doesn't help us any.

Thanks for the info, I'll check Ricoh faxes

We use a RICOH 5000L W/DUAL LINES for a incoming orders. It has been up and running for almost 3 years. It receives faxes from 6am until 7pm, all day.

It has been a really good buy for us.

And yet you still seem to maintain some shread of sanity... I went nuts trying to fix a few of those and haven't really gone back.

I second (or third) the RICOH comment(s) we beat on our stuff day and day out and it has held up well.

I was on the RICOH website and their machines look great.
Our Xerox F-12 in pharmacy recieves about 200 pages a day.

I think the 5510NF would take anything they could through at it.
