We do not have a maintenance contract with any vendor.
I was wondering if there is a way to have the Meridian 81 call my cell phone when there is a problem? Also, what I need to do to make this happen?

No Maintenance Contract

You proabably can?Do you have a modem onsite that will call you if there is a problem.There are a few different brands out there.Vendors Install them so that they can recieve alarms .You will need a book to reprogram your SEB or whatever brand you have.
A few years ago We had a vendor that Installed a new PBx for us and after the warranty period expired.I called the maker of the modem and had them send me a new book so i could reprogram it.

Yes - We use the Centurion Serivice (Site Event Buffer) - this requires a contract with Sprint..

But there are a lot of other systems out there..

Do a yahoo search for "PBX Alarm and Remote Notification".

I went thru this with self maint. We have an SEB from teltronics. Teltronics will not give individuals programming information but will program it for you for a charge. I ended up getting our old vender to program it under a billable ticket order. All the info was still in the unit. They just replaced the dialed # with my pager #. The bigest problem is they would only send a Number to the pager. They didn't have any provisons in the company to have charges to pass thru the net to send the actual codes. I don't know what the problem is until I dial in. We have a new vender in town that says they might can do this. Not sure yet.
