Rep Power: 6 ![]() | First of all you need to identfy the type of CPU you have. Motorola or CPII. On the CPII there is a LAN connection on the Core itself, This is labled LAN 1. LAN 2 is used to connect both cores togeather via cross connect cable. Take your LAN 1 and run it to a networked HUB. You will need to cnfigure the IP Address, Subnet and all that junk in LD117. Make sure that each core has a seperate IP address. Splinters

I hope this helps. I use to be heavily involved in Network Administration prior to this positions so I am clean on how to physically connect it. I just need to know what cards need to be added to the cores and how to program the on the terminal. Thanks, Jes

They are about 50-100 bucks on ebay. They work rather well. Easy to set up as well. Good luck Kevin

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Help with ACD phones and calls on hold. add another tty and use a serial server. Its what I've got . I use an Axis 2490. It has the necessary login security. If all you need is terminal acces on the LAN, this is the easiest way to go. If you don't want to add a tty, then use the one your PBX terminal is currently plugged into. If you get it on the LAN, then you can do away with the terminal in the switch room, and voila, an open tty port. Get a 2 port server and you can also put Mermail on the network. (If thats what you're using).
