All the info. that you are looking for is in the NTP's.

Admitily they can be intimidating at first, but once you get accoustomed to using them they actually are quite helpful.

Read them early and often and you will be glad that you did.

You can also get the NTP's on CD. I am not a fan of the CD, but it is nice to search them if you are looking for something specific. The NTP's also have all of the CLS and KEY's in alphabetical order. I have had the same set of NTP's since I started in Telecom. They are in pretty bad shape, but I have all of my notes and hints in them. Not to mention all the coffee and food stains from the late nights in the switch room!!

RE:

Chas..One of the worst stains on my favorite NTP is when I almost launched my work van into oncoming traffic on one of Chicago's wonderful toll roads! A full cup of cappicino coated the front of my van and my book! Not only did I almost ruin my books, but I also broke 2 nails. It was a very bad day!

I can see it... What was more upsetting - the stain, the loss of coffee or the broken nails?

My worst - A full Cup O Java at 2 in the morning sitting on the desk and My 25' handset cord (stretched to 30 plus feet) springing back and ""BAM"" - "Coffee Everywhere" - I still find stains on stuff to this day....
What's wierd is had an empty cup adjacent to the full cup - the empty cup didn't move and with coffee everywhere - not a drop went into the empty cup - go figure..

OFF TOPIC

Y'all haven't lived till you've knocked over a big gulp on top of a 2 stack IPE column that just happens to serve as the switchroom desk.

There were stains on more than just the NTPs that day.

Phone Princess....How can you go about getting the CD? I'm new to the Meridian and all I've learned has been either a trial-by-fire or some obscure website linked to from Google....
