First Post so forgive if I violate some form of etiquite. I have a phone that the red message waiting lamp will not go off. I am relatively new to 61c support and I remember in training that there was a way to reset it. The phone is a 2616 Display. I need to get this turned off or start wearing Kevlar to work for fear of the user. Any help would be appreciated.

Message Waiting Lamp

Program a mck key (message cancelation key) on your maintenance phone. Press the key -- while on hook --, enter the ext. number, LED should start flashing, press key again and your set.

Welcome to the board.

I would also do a find in your mer mail for the message waiting DN of the phone you are having problems with. If there are no new messages in the mailbox I suspect another mailbox is using that phone for a message waiting indicator.
