I'm looking to find a way to create a report of a users phone, but rather then showing the DNs of the keys, show the names associated with those DNs. Any ideas?

Re: VoIP, Nortel or Cisco?

you should be able to do a DN Directory report in OTM. It will give you a list of all Prime and phantom DNs with associated names. If you need specifics post back, but it shouldnt be hard to find.

Cheers

Its not that I need a list of names with their DN - thats easy. I need to print a set of 20 phones with what call appearances (SCRs) are on the phone with the names associated with those SCRs.

Thanks in advance.

I'd say the easiest way to accomplish this is with the Print function in Station Admin. First off this has to be current with the PBX or it worthless. If it is, then this is what you need to do. First select the sets, you can select multiple sets by holding down the Ctrl key and clicking on them. You can move up and down the list by using the arrow keys at the top. Yes it can be a pain with moving back and forth, but it gets the job done. Once you have all the sets select click on File -> Print and select either Short Format, By Feature Group or By Field Mnemonic. It’s best to do a “Print to Screen” first to see which report you like best. Short Format is a good place to start. Hope this help.

Re: RE:

Unfortunatly this isn't exactly what I need. The short format gives me the DN for each SCR but I need the name associated with each DN on the report as well.

To be honest, I can’t think of a single report that would give you all of that information. Station Admin itself doesn’t really associate a name to a DN as much as it does to the set as a whole. Thus you have to use CPND to make all name associated with DN’s. One day (and hopefully before I’m dead) they will complete the Station Admin CPND merger in OTM, where all you have is one module to take care of all set related programming. Then you might be able to get this kind of report. Until then you’ll probably have to do some manual input to show whose DN is whose.
