| I knew it would catch me out eventually! I am fairly experienced in most area's of the Meridian, however, I have never really gone particularly deep into PRI issues. i.e. I can set them up and run diags, but have never REALLY known what I am doing. So, I am now going to make it my resolution to start doing this. Right, I have a couple of questions for you:- I am studying a network diagram of my companies voice network in one of our european offices. We have an 81C with one link going out to a hypercom mux, and another link going to a Nortel Passport. They are both marked as ISDN PRI. The link to the h/com mux says that it has 24 channels, and the link to the passport says that it has 6 channels. Is it possible to order a 30 channel ISDN circuit, split it into one six channel and one 24 channel? If not, why would you order a six channel ISDN circuit. Is there a big cost difference? These questions probably sound really stupid, but I have never really been involved in the ordering of circuits and network design. But I 'm determined to sort this one out for myself. Thanks |
