Hi,

I am trying to implement the following scenario with CallPilot:

After a fax has been received through CallPilot I need to ditribute this received fax to 12 different CallPilot users. Question: Is this possible and how do I need to set this up ?? I tried already setting up a rule in Outlook but no luck. Perhaps using a distribution list will sort out the problem.

Hope someone can help me out.

Seems to me it should be a generic mailbox for the 12 users just for fax. The distribution list should be in Outlook not in Call pilot.

The problem I have is that the forwarding does not work. Can you supply me more detatils about the configuration.

Build the FAX mail box ...whatever number it may be ..lets say 202 303 4040. The have your Outlook people build a "FAX ACCOUNT" . Login to a PC with the FAX account ID and password and install desktop messaging with it dummy number. have the IT Group set up that account that when it gets any messages (it sould only be faxes) that they are forworded to who ever you want them to go to...

I never done this but it seem to me it would work.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. Your solution will not work as the forwarding will take place on the Exchange Server. Call Pilot does not directly integrate with exchange. Perhaps you know people with a solution.

SmidM, have tried looking into these softwares: VSI Fax or Right Fax? They will do exactly what you intend to do.

Post back with the results.

If you create a Distribution list in Callpilot, it will work.

The fax is send directly to the Distribution List which distributes it to the different user.

It works, doesnt it ?
