TOSHIBA BROCHURE

They say that Symposium 3.x is windows 2000 compliant. I tried to install it on two seperate machines and on both instances, the machine locked up during the DMI installation...

Has anyone sucessfully installed the client on Win2K?

Thanks,

Rob

I believe you need Client 4.0 at a minimum, and you also have to be wary of a problem with a JAR file in the SMI install and using Pentium 4 machines. Somewhere in the SMI is an invalid switch that needs to be manually changed. I think there is a product bulletin on the Nortel website. Also, unless they've changed something in a patch or update recently, Im not even sure Nortel supports running 3.0 on Win2000. I havent been around Symposium much lately, so my response is kind of dated. Hope it gets you in the right direction. GL

Meridian Mail - duplicate entries in dial by name

I've installed Symposium Express 3 on all of our Windows 2000 machines here. I didn't have any problem. Make sure that you have the Windows 2000 client cd because the regular client cd will not work.
