Is it possible to do a backup of an option 11 (BKO or EDD) onto a pcmcia card? If so could you please explain what command it is?

Host/remote CDP setup

Someone has posted a nice document in the PBXINFO library how to accomplish this.

http://www.pbxinfo.com/modules/Downl.../m1backups.doc

Note however that there are are at least two hidden problems.

1) I've attempted to do this but I've run into problems. My 11c refuses to recognize my PCMCIA card. Someone has suggeested that the 11c doesn't like the OEM of my card and it is causing the problem. I have yet to find a solutoin.

2) People have told me that the card should NOT be formatted with Win2000. If I could solve problem (1), I'd be able to try it and tell you what happens. Until I solve problem (1), we'll have to rely on the knowledge of others.

Is it PC or NORTEL software.....in other words, do you run it on your PC or in the NORTEL? Sound interesting as I was under the impression that the card is formatted in traditional MS-DOS format. Maybe I'm wrong and that might explain the problem I've encountered.

Speed Call list

Good news. We've located the problem. I was using a Kingston PCMCIA case with Kingston Compact Flash memory. It didn't work.

Today, I used my Kingston case with Viking Compact Flash memory and things worked. I was able to backup my system to the Viking memory. I was able to backup my system. Now comes the real test.....can I move it on to my laptop and then burn a CD from the memory card?

It is interesting to note that the 11c is so sensitive to the MFG of the memory card.

Good luck to others.
