Location: TN Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Look what he had in his pants? I have connected to MMail before using my office computer through hyperterminal... My harddrive crashed and I lost all my settings to connect to the PBX. I have no problem connecting now to the PBX itself or to mail, but I can't seem to get the keyboard to function correctly. I can't get any of the 'softkeys' used in Mail to work on my PC. I am running Win 2k and my session is setup as follows: 2400 flow control none 8,N,1 The keyboard doesn't seem to respond at all when I am in mail. thanks for any help!

Location: TN Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Problems with invalid TN's That doesn't seem to have any effect, thanks anyway. It's like the keyboard isn't setup properly. I would usually hit F5 or F6, something like that to select the logon option and now I can't get anything to respond....hmmm.

That should get you in. It seems like the keys are off a row. Try that and post back. John __________________ Thankful for everything...at least today.

Location: TN Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Dropping Calls Well, I can't seem to use F1 either. Nothing responds when I am in Mail. It's really weird. Even weirder is that on my MAT computer hooked up to the PBX- I used to connect to a terminal session within MAT and now I can connect fine, but I can't use the durn keyboard there either. It only responds to Windows function keys....(like alt + f) I can't even hit <enter> to get a logi prompt.... And, on my dumb termianl connected to the PBX, I can't access anything on that one either....our terminal keyboard broke and I replaced it with another standard keyboard and I can't get that one to work. It doesn't respond at all. Anyone have any idea about what is going on and what is the proper keyboard for the dumb termianal? At this point, I can dial in to the PBX from my office fine, just no keyboard access in MMail. I can't access any terminal session from the dumb terminal or the MAT computer due to the keyboard. what's up?

I use alpha com strictly for MerMail, works the best. Ericom Terminal Emulator works just as well. It's hard to find an emulator that does VT-220 with all of the f keys. Good luck

Location: UK Rep Power: 7 ![]() | Another one bites the dust Please Please Please Don't use hyperterminal. Try Tera Terminal (also known as Teraterm). It's the nearest thing I've seen to the TTY which we had installed with our original system. Even the F keys work. It's freeware so worth trying Also, isn't there a reported incompatibility between Hypererminal and Windows 2000?
