Last week was a fun week... the primary Option 81 for our site which acts as a hub for all inbound and outbound calls crashed painfully as all the TN's became corrupted. Thanks to my trusty Bell Canada technicians and our very own jack ( http://www.pbxinfo.com/user.php?op=userinfo&uname=jack ) I was able to get things going again.

First, I'd like to share the Nortel document that helped. It was called TN Housekeeping to Prevent Corruption. It is located at Fletch's site:
http://<a href="http://www.pbxtech.n....php?lid=8</a>

And lastly, I'd like to know if anyone had ever heard of MAT causing TN corruption on switches with Release 25.4? My Bell Techcs are blaming MAT for causing the problem but I have seen no evidence for this statement.

Thanks,
Scott

Purchasing an Option 11C How do you know?

Good day SD,

Your link didn't work for TN corruption prevention. I am using MAT 6.67 on a Windows NT Terminal server and never had any corruption as of yet. I would be very interested in looking into preventative measures if you have experienced problems. We will be moving over to OTM. Where abouts in Canada are you? I'm in Toronto.

Dave, I am in Tiverton, Ontario (North West of Toronto). The link may not work if you are not a registered user at Fletch's site — I tried it myself just now and it worked fine.

There are several patches that can be applied to help prevent corruption. If you still have problems then PM me a message here with your e-mail and I will send you the file.

Scott

voip probs during high call volume

25.40 - there is a patch to prevent data corruption caused by doing a service change to a 3900 set - MPLR16603

There is another patch if you upgraded to 25.40 and used the mov command on 500 sets. It is a two part patch.
MPLR16669 to correct the problem
MPLR16657 to find corruption. After this patch is loaded - LD 1 audit is ran, corruption is removed and this patch is taken out of service. The TNs that were corrupt are then rebuilt.
