GOODBYE 2002!!!!!

There is a thing in the phone switch called phantom TN's. Is that what you are talking about? The phone set is programed as a 500 set but there is no actual phone to hook up. A call would be directed to this extension that would then just default to a mailbox setup in your mer mail.

Host/remote CDP setup

You can create mailboxes that have no extension defiined. I try to pick a range out of the existing extension numbering plan. Like if you have extensions in the 200 to 250 range or think on day you might add extensions in your range, use 300 or 400 for a starting point for your virtual mailboxes. That way someday there won't be an extension that can't have a mailbox of the samr number.... The caller goes straight to the mailbox, leaves a message, then the vm sys. sends notification to the mailbox owner via off-primise message notification, as set up in the mailbox setup. It can notify a pager, a cell phone, or another phone anywhere.

Another one bites the dust

Hotextec is correct...but the call has to get to the mailbox some how. If you have access to phantoms TN's you can create an extension, for example a DID number, that will call forward straight to VM then have the VM system send notification to a mailbox owner.

What I do is simply do, to save TNs, is create a ACD-DN in Load 23 which corresponds to the DID number. Everything on the ACD-DN will be default except I night call forward the new ACD-DN to the voice mail system. In the voice mail system I created a basic or personal maibox. This is easier than building a phone and doesn't waist a TN

Anyone install Symposium Express Client on Win 2000?

Bill is correct..you can build a "dummy" ACD that would act as a virtual ext. but, a phantom would work also. Eventually, you will run out of ACD's.

good luck!

How do I change the password of a users mailbox from the con

For what this is worth, I didn't know about phantom Tn's untill recently. I always used the ACDN-DN method in Ld 23. You do need some sort of managing though. As for running out of ACDN's, don't know what is, all I know is that all my 11c's have 300 mas as ACDN's, but the 51's and 81c's have 24000 of those. I figure before I run out is a long way.

If anyone knows of the particulars of this, they're more than welcomed. Thanks

Am I logged in or not???

240 is the limit on most systems, but I was told that if you are using P2 processors you can actually go to 1000.
