Does this sound familar? Not enough people to get the job done, so the phone system is at fault!
I have a dept. in my organization that has had a 20% increase in business
and haven't hired additional staff for the additional work load so no one can get through to the scheduling people for appt's. I know enough wine.
I have 8 I2004 phone with multi dn's on them. On key 5 I made that dn MCR on all 8 phones. It still rings busy when the second call comes in on top of the first answered call. Does this have to been on key 0 for IP phones or is there something else I need to do? HELP! this dept. head is driving me to drink!

Key 0 should always be assigned to the phone because this is the prime (user) DN
ie. Key 0 MCR <ACD DN> or <Prime DN>, Key 5 MCR <ACD DN> or <Prime DN> or <alternative DN>

you can also have an i2004 assigned to multiple DN's that are not associated to other users

ie
key 0 mcr xxxx <prime DN> marp
key 1 mcr xxxx <secondary dn> marp

l hope this answers your question
