Location: Baton Rouge, LA Rep Power: 6 ![]() | We just implemented a service called CrisisLink with BellSouth. The plan allows us to call into BellSouth with a username and password and have lines which were designated ahead of time forwarded to a number of our choosing. Currently we have our main number and all of the ACD queues forwarded to our answering service. Does anyone have any type of disaster recovery service? Any recommendations for another solution? Would forwarding the lines to a personal cell phone be advisable? I'm interested in any feedback!

Location: 1069.7 miles from Tiverton, Ontario (CANADA) Rep Power: 12 ![]() | Back-Up Capabilities File..... We had a Call Center and a disaster recovery plan as follows: We had an OPT81C at Call Center. Disaster Recov had an OPT11. We orderd 4 T-1's from a carrier with the same setup, call in number and password. At that time all traffic, inbound only, would be pointed to the 4 T-1's. All 800 numbers were pointed to the same T-1's. The opt11 was pre-programed with the same CDN's and ACD's as the 81C. We were going to use cell phones for any other calls. Also, we had a batt-backup at Dist Recov area.

John - I've heard mention on the boards about a service call Switch Redirect...it sounds like your current CrisisLink service... http://www.infotelsystems.com/bri_backup_to%20pri.htm In the event of a Mass Evacuation or Switch failure - Our Recovery plan consist of Sister Properties with existing switches - We have the main number setup to route to another property with Bell South and our Toll Free numbers route via Sprint.... In the event of an "isolated" evacuation (say a 1/3rd of the building)- I use Symposium Emergency Scripts and the IDC Table in conjuction with phantoms/ACD NCFW to route main departmental numbers to individuals or an alternate Emergency Ops Center... __________________ Free Preview of my fictional book: "Chaos Theorem": http://www.lulu.com/content/249842.
