Extending T1's

I have 2 M2250 consoles when receiving inbound or dialing an outside line, we're OK. However, if we use a console to dial anything that requires DTMF, seems like nothing goes through (i.e.: a pager service that needs a PIN and then a numeric entry but the pager never goes off). I have a feeling it's the end-to-end signalling and/or the legnth of time each tone is generated. I've tried to "butt" into the trunks of the console route looking for a dial-out to listen for the tones but I never hit the mark.

Also, what is the disparity between ATT and M2250? I've been lead to believe for the longest time they were one of the same. As I peruse the NTP's, I find they're not and I'd hate to walk into programming ATT data, not doing anything for the M2250's and causing a world of hurt everywhere else.

Thanks in advance

Telco - I have (15) consoles and we use the Exclude Source Key without any problems....

You can look into the EES Key (End-to-End Signaling) which is a direct quote to your question...

Quote:
Attendant End-to-End Signaling
The attendant can send DTMF tones to either the source or destination party
using the AEES key on the Attendant Console. If there are two receiving
parties on the current active loop key, the attendant can press the EXCL SRC
or EXCL DEST key to exclude one of the connected parties before pressing
the AEES key (defined in LD 12). Only one party on the active loop key
(source or destination) can receive the DTMF signal. After pressing the
AEES key, the attendant can press digits to send DTMF tones out to the
source or destination party. To terminate the EES operation, the attendant
should press the AEES key again. The states for the EXCL SRC, EXCL
DEST, SRC loop, and DEST loop keys remain the same as before the EES
key is pressed.
Improved EES makes no changes to the attendant operation. Like any other
telephone, the Attendant Console can use improved EES or enhanced EES.
To add the key.....

TYPE: 2250
TN xx xx xx xx (Where xx is L, S, C, U)
xx EES (where xx is the Key number).

Let me know if you need additional info...
