Genesys Predicative Dialer

I have two 2616's with a duplicate DN on key three of both sets. The problem is that when the one person is on that extension , the other person can pick up the line and be heard. Another words there is no privacy on this DN. Can someone tell me if this is a class of service setting or what.

M,

CLS = POD

But......

If this DN is also on a 500 set privacy is overridden.

Change the key configuration from Single Call Ringing (SCR) to Multiple Call Ringing (MCR). To do this, you will have to NUL the configuration on both sets first (to remove the SCR) and then reprogram as MCR.

You could put the 500 set back in the mix as long as you program it with CLS=MCRA (Multiple Call Arrangement Allowed). That way, you get privacy even with a mix of digital and analog sets.

MCRA lets you extend Multiple Call Ringing configurations across a mixture of digital and analog sets. If you have a 500 set configured with MCRA and the corresponding DN key on a digital set configured as MCR, then a call will ring on both but - when answered - only the answering set will be connected. The other set cannot bridge into the call.

You need to have either SUPP package or MCMO package equipped (the original implementation was for Companion handsets twinned with desk sets where you don't want somebody at your desk being able to listen to your call as you wander around with your Companion phone).
