Location: washington, dc Rep Power: 0 ![]() | setting up voice menu for the ACD in Meridian Mail I need to join 10 people in conference call, one on premisses and 11 off premisses, We have enough B-channels to make as many as 47 simultaneous calls. As far as I know, Meridian One Opt.51C/Rlse 23 allows to join in conference as many as 6 participants, including the calling station on premisses. My initial idea is start with two 2616 sets programmed with two local DNs, for example, DN 620 AND DN 621. From 620 I will place a call to 621, and after that from 620 I will join the 1st external phone in a conference mode; and then from 620 I will join the 2nd external phone in conferece mode; and then from 620 I will join the 3rd external phone in coference mode; and then from 620 I will join the 4th external phone in conferece mode; and then from 620 I will join a 5th external phone in conferece mode; At this time from the DN 621, I will repeat the same process to 6th phone, 7th phone, 8th phone, 9th phone, 10 phone. Whould that work? Should I expect a decay in signal quality as participants join the conference? Any other alternatives to treat the problem? If someone calls in in another line and wants to join the conference call, how can I let him/her in, (by the way I don't know how to define a park key, park a call and/or retrieve it, if that is what it takes?) I someone volunters to write and post a "Tuturial on how to Program Park and then make Conference Calls", that would be a great pre-Christmas gifty. To buy Conference Call Services would be about 5 times more expensive, that is the reason is the reason want to do it with existing resources. This also will be a great test how my Call Accounting Software will handle this situation. Many thanks and Happy Thanksgiving! NOSDE

Option 11C is limited to 6 parties due to a difference conference circuitry used. That being said, you are likely to run into voice quality issues with 11 external parties due to noise on those circuits. Go ahead and try it. Beyond this solution, you could look at something like the Meridian Integrated Conference Bridge.
