Rep Power: 7 ![]() | Re: Happy turkey Day I'll try to make this as simple as possible... Person A has a voice mail (Call Pilot) from Person B Person A listens to the message over the phone, then hits "9" to dial message-leaver (Person B) Person B picks up the call back. But if Person B wants to transfer that call to another extension, he can not. There is not even a TRANSFER button showing on the display as an option. Is this how the system is supposed to work? Call backs from voice mail are not able to be transferred? All phones involved are in perfect working order and have no trouble transferring under any other circumstances. We have a 61C switch.

It does not bridge the conference for that would put the call to B together with the Call Pilot session. Because there is an unbridged call on a conference key on A's phone the PBX cannot allow B, the called party, to further conference or bridge that call. Only if A completes the bridge to the original call (i.e. Call Pilot) by further pressing the conference call key can B then proceed to make a call transfer or further conference. Rep Power: 7 ![]() | IMHO, I think that the conference is actually set up by the call pilot port and not "a"'s phone. the port has the ability to conference one time, which is call sender. If you think about it, when "b" hangs up, you are still connected to your CP session, ie: you can go to the next message, delete the previous, etc, without having to log back into your mailbox. The end result is the same in that |"b" cannot add any one else on. Jim
