Location: TN Rep Power: 6 ![]() | New errer DTC103 Okay Dokey. Need help, lost in a haze of FDN, EFD and AFD. Question for anyone familiar with call forward by call type. I have a phone that has three lines on it. KEY 00 is an internal line (SCR) ext 123 KEY 01 is an external line (MCR) ext 321 KEY 02 is an external line (MCR) ext 456 After 4 rings, we have external calls rolling over to a remote office. What we really want is for after 4 rings *only* to ext 456, calls to roll over to our remote office. What is happening is that after 4 rings to ext 123, the call is rolling to our remote ofice as well. Not good. So, i thought that by setting an FDN (set to voicemail) and EFD (set to remote office) this would resolve the problem. We want all calls that come into 123 to go to the FDN. When in fact, what I have done is set all internal calls to roll to the FDN and the external cals roll to the EFD. Is there any way to make all calls that come into a certain key (123) roll to Voicemail (FDN) if no answer? I want *all* internal and external calls to key 00 (SCR 123) to roll to voicemail (FDN). thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Location: TN Rep Power: 6 ![]() | lost in a haze of CFCT!!!!!!! One more thing I wanted to add! The reason I am having a problem with this is that folks have their family members call in using THRU DIAL. So, the call is still external, but it comes in on ext 123. I am trying to get these calls that come in using thru dial to go to the FDN (voicemail) instead of following the External call path to our remote office (EFD NUmber). THANKS!!!!!!!

Location: TN Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Reply to Jack on MSDL Thanks, Jack. I'm confused. Surprise, surprise, eh? Why would I want to do this? I think I'm confused as to what MARP will do for me. I sort of got on the line of thinking that I should fool around with the routes and maybe somehow setup FDN, EFD, HUNT and EHT, changing my FNAT to HUNT. This may be way off base, though. Can you enlighten me more as to how MARP will help??? I will do some research on this on my own, as well. thanks, A

Location: TN Rep Power: 6 ![]() | when i set 456 up as a 500 set (TN 3 4), i don't get the option for efd. i do have tn 1 2 setup with efd 111. This is the TN originally spoken about. are you saying that at the 2008 (tn 1 2) I need to change Key 03 (456) to MARP to TN 3 4? And, at the 2008 set, keep EFD to 111? I don't understand how this works....how do it know???? how does TN 3 4 (the 500 set) know to roll this call over from TN 1 2 since there is no prgramming that specifies this in the TN.

Location: Chicago -- CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE Rep Power: 12 ![]() | You need to add cfta to the cls of 3 4 to get the prompts, which are under the FTR programming of the 500 set. When you program the DN on 3 4 you will be prompted for MARP enter YES. Post back with any other questions. Jack

Rep Power: 12 ![]() | MICS SW upgrade D-channel will not come back up Yo Aturner, Jack is correct with the 500 set option, it overrides any forwarding options of a digital set. Depending on how you have your "OPT" set in the CDB (CFF,CFO) this will make a difference on how calls are fwd'd.
